Primacy – Power of Survival

“Primacy” is a powerful motif that accentuates the power of nature and of survival. At its center is an Obsidian carving of a Gorilla’s profile that appears to be looking intently out from behind lush jungle foliage that has grown over the ruins of a bygone civilization.

The 57.90 carat Obsidian Gorilla is carved by master Stefan Klein; its eye is set with a brilliant-cut diamond. 3.10 carats or 232 green Tsavorites are set in 18 Karat white gold to depict the foliage. The 18 Karat rose gold Ionian column is studded with round and square diamonds and a 0.45 carat brown diamond protrudes from the crevice of a column. The necklace’s centerpiece is attached to a white gold chain set with diamonds.

“Primacy” accentuates both the power of nature and the power of survival. While today the limits to growth and civilization are ever more apparent to humanity, time and again nature reveals its colossal force and its incredible ability to recover. “Primacy” contemplates the question whether humankind is best primed for survival or whether other species will prove to be more prone to rise above both the powers of nature and the feats of civilization?

Worn with confidence, the incomparable necklace “Primacy” attracts, radiating strong personality, emotion and attitude. A modified version is available as a pair of cufflinks for a gentleman.
